Crescent Nebula
(NGC 6888)

At 5,000 years away in the constellation of Cygnus is the Crescent Nebula. It is formed by stellar winds blasting across unimaginably huge distances from a Wolf-Rayet star known as WR136. These star types have shed their outer layers and blast them into space , forming some wonderful nebulas such as the Bubble Nebula and WR-134 which you can find elsewhere on this website..

This was shot in my London garden using narrowband filters that cut out the heavy light pollution.
